To raise awareness of electricity savings in your office, we have compiled 10 tips on how you can lower your electricity consumption:

Habits

1. Turn on the lights only when you really need them.
2. Turn down the heating while airing out and save energy that way.
3. Turn off your screensaver and instead put your devices in standby mode.

Technology

4. Equip your lighting in corridors and toilets with motion detectors or timers.
5. Use LEDs, as they consume significantly less energy than halogen lamps.

In the blink.it office, we remind everyone to be mindful of their electricity consumption through small reminder notes.

Bonus point in terms of sustainability: For our lunch break, we use reusable thermos cups, so all employees can get a warm lunch. This additionally reduces packaging waste and we don't have to reheat the food in the office.

As you can see, there are many ways to save energy. We at blink.it do our best to become more sustainable. How are you trying to make a difference and become more sustainable? Share your personal experiences and message us!
