The LEARNTEC 2018 is over and the team at blink.it is gradually getting back to business. For everyone in the trade fair team, the three days in Karlsruhe were an exhilarating experience. And one question kept coming up: What do penguins have in common with digital learning?
Enthusiasm at the Booth
The large and small cuddly penguin were the icebreakers at LEARNTEC and simultaneously good luck charms for blink.it. From 9 AM to 6 PM, our team members were practically constantly engaged in conversations with the trade fair visitors. "Have fun at the fair!" wished our sales specialist Hans-Martin Sprungk to all interested parties as a farewell. A customer replied completely dryly:
"No, I am no longer having fun at the fair. I am going home now. I just found what I was looking for."
We ourselves were still having fun at the fair. In the evening there was usually still some time to get to know the other exhibitors and ask a few questions. We particularly liked the "neighborhood" to the booth of SlidePresenter. The colleagues there offer an authoring tool that some customers of blink.it can also use as a supplement – and vice versa. This way, we were able to refer interested visitors to the neighboring team.
What we recommend for your next trade fair visit

Over 10,000 trade visitors were excited about LEARNTEC this year. Our team of four was already almost too small to adequately inform all the interested trade fair visitors. Our lesson for the next fair: Bring even more "Blinkies" to be able to answer all questions.
What we would like to pass on to you for your next trade fair visit: Take a look at the presentations of the exhibitors. At LEARNTEC, blink-it founders Konstantin and Michael demonstrated in 20 minutes what blink.it stands for and what benefits you as a trainer or coach can gain from the platform.
Those who were directly convinced and wanted to know more simply left their business card afterwards and will receive access to an online course in the coming days.
What expectations do you have of a blended learning platform?
To be thoroughly and, above all, early informed, this was an experience some trade fair visitors also had at the stand. One man said glumly that he had only invested in an expensive LMS two months ago, which did not excite him. "Too bad I didn't see this platform earlier", he said after the blink.it presentation to the two founders.
Another customer was immediately sure: Yes, blink.it is right for me! She booked directly at the trade fair booth and was able to start adding her first content that evening.
Being quick paid off for some LEARNTEC visitors especially. The rocket pack – our card game for blended learning concepts – was sold out by the evening of the second day. Only a few copies remain in our stock. However, the creative team at blink.it is currently working intensively on a version 2 of the rocket pack, which is scheduled to hit the market in the coming months!

So, what was up with the two adorable penguins? We pass the question on to you: What do you think do penguins and digital learning have in common? Please write your ideas directly in the comments; we are curious!
