This is how Blended Onboarding works from the employee's perspective

The first weeks in a new company are always the most exciting. New employees gain many new impressions, get to know new colleagues, and have to learn a lot about internal processes and tools.

With the Blended Onboarding method, the “newcomer” gets access to an online course and a session plan for the first weeks right on the first day.

In the online course, content is gradually unlocked that is needed for the new job. For example, for a marketing job, this includes short descriptions of the personas plus a small task or exercise to transfer to the new workplace.

In a "session", that is, a live appointment with an experienced employee, they build on the knowledge, discuss what they've learned, and ask questions.

The course does take time to create initially, but it can be reused repeatedly. In the long run, it saves a lot of time during the onboarding process. New employees can also refer back to the course later and quickly find linked documents, screencasts with explanations, and everything else they need.
