LMS for traditional e-learning and the creation of didactic content can sometimes be terrible structures: Their operation is complex, their implementation often takes too long, and then they even prevent learners from learning. We want to do something about that. That's why we made blink.it so simple and efficient that it saves your time, your budget, and even your nerves.
First of all: Congratulations on reading this article! That proves: You mean well with your fellow human beings and have ambitious goals, because: You want to further educate people and promote their personal and professional development – at the same time, you are considering doing this in an "organized form" and with the help of software. We celebrate you for that and want to give you guidance so that you can make an informed LMS decision that fits your needs.
The anguish of LMS selection…
Right off the bat: Take a close look at what you want to achieve with your LMS – as in almost all areas, there are no one-size-fits-all solutions in e-learning either. Every company, every undertaking is individual. And yes, it may well be that you can achieve your goals better with another tool. That's why you should test yourself through, seek advice, and check carefully whether the system you are looking at suits you and your needs. As with doctors, a second or third opinion is worthwhile. There are over 900 LMS out there – we want to introduce you to ours in the following.
When is blink.it right for you?
You want to quickly and easily create your own employee or customer training
You value user orientation and a sleek design
You want an LMS with an integrated authoring tool
You want to implement real blended learning
You want to complement your existing LMS with a content creation optimized tool
You want to depict mandatory training in a modern and sustainable way
When is blink.it probably not right for you?
You are looking for a pure course library (e.g. LinkedIn Learning or Udemy)
You want a generalist tool in the direction of Learning Eco System
You want to work a lot with gamification
You want a community tool
The points mentioned reflect the current state of our software – of course, that doesn’t mean that something can’t change in the future. :-)
Here are some questions you should definitely ask yourself - regardless of whether you want to use blink.it or another LMS:
When is the launch planned?
What budget do you have available?
Which criteria are decisive for a selection?
We have found that LMS implementations, especially of large systems, are often underestimated in terms of time, effort, and costs. This is particularly true for IT and legal issues, which sometimes require costly external support and can not only blow the time and cost framework in many places but can literally pulverize it. Some LMS projects have therefore failed before they actually started – and your initially mentioned honorable goals are gone.
If it’s not fun, it’s worthless!
Knowing these challenges, our approach since 2015 has been: We want both learning and creating, setting up, and administering learning content via blink.it to be as simple as possible. Precisely BECAUSE we know that you probably have a thousand other things you should be doing in your area, which you and the success of your company are also measured against and perhaps even preferred.
Battleship or Jet Ski?
What is particularly important in addition to the aforementioned points: In the end, the people you want to train and develop must also use the LMS (and preferably enjoy doing so!). And in case of doubt, people like to use things that they understand and whose operation comes easily to them.
Ideally, they don’t need any training for this, because things perceived as simple are usually derived from the familiar. And of course, the more complex your requirements are and the more your LMS should be able to do, the more training needs (and costs) you will have in the end. Therefore, we recommend that you ask yourself whether you really need "the big battleship" or actually want a quick jet ski that takes you nimbly and without much effort to the same goal. :-)
Why blink.it?
As mentioned at the beginning: There are a lot of outstanding LMS, and it may well be that you find another tool that fits your needs even better. But you are here, and that’s why we want to list some points that, if they apply to you, are a good indicator that we should at least have a conversation:
1. You are looking for an LMS that allows you to create content quickly and easily
2. You are looking for an LMS that has a lot of features, but only as many as you really need
3. You are looking for an LMS that you can work with quickly and easily
4. You are looking for an LMS that puts user experience in the foreground
5. You are looking for an LMS that you can start with without IT headaches
How to make learning easy for your learners
Focus on user experience
Since the beginning, blink.it has been optimized to cost you as little time as possible and to make learning easy for your learners. Simplicity, in our case, does not mean reduced functionality – on the contrary: You can do a lot of very deep things with blink.it; the good thing is: You can, but you don’t have to! Simplicity here mainly relates to easy handling and a pleasant, user-oriented user experience. We do not overwhelm you with options and windows but only give you what you need in that moment. That’s why the interface of blink.it has always been deliberately clean and thought out for responsiveness.
Just log in and get started
To use blink.it, you don’t need IT know-how. You need a login and internet access. With this setup, you can start easily in the browser, create your first contents, invite users, manage them, and carry out progress monitoring. You can structure your training and courses as you find suitable for your target group.

Reduced complexity for sustainable learning
With custom branding, multimedia content, and automatic reminders that inform your learners that new content has been uploaded or that they should refresh their knowledge after a certain period. We pay attention to aesthetics and want to provide you and your users with the best possible learning experience. This is also part of simplicity, as the more complex a system is constructed, the higher the likelihood of diminishing the learning experience.
Ideal for blended learning
Of course, you can also use blink.it in a blended learning approach, especially here it demonstrates its strength through delayed content releases and is therefore also suitable for the switch between online and face-to-face events. This mechanism of delayed content release is simply not implementable with many other systems.
We hope we were able to provide you with some arguments in this article as to why blink.it (from our perspective) is the easiest LMS for your e-learning. And perhaps we could support you a little in choosing the LMS that suits you best. We wish you much success on your journey!
