You have surely encountered these typical stumbling blocks in training: managing low downtime for companies, participant motivation, and the sustainability of what has been learned. The "Blended Learning" method combines in-person events with flexible online courses, thus paving the way for entirely new, individualized paths.
We help trainers and companies to utilize the opportunities properly. Boring frontal lectures are a thing of the past - engagement, interaction, and questions are the magic words! With this concept, blink.it was recently represented at "Tips & Tools".
Tips & Tools - The name says it all!
At the "Tips & Tools" on September 2nd in Cologne, trainers and human resource developers met again for exchange: about 120 participants took part in various lectures and workshops on topics of professional development. Last year, blink.it was already present as a participant – this year, motivated by organizer Axel Rachow, they themselves took part in the exciting one-day program with a lecture.
"Training 4.0: Present live and digitally supported"
The nearly two-hour workshop by blink.it founder Michael and employee Hans-Martin conveys informative and interactive benefits, opportunities, and methods in Blended Learning. The goal of the lecture: to provide trainers with a positive mindset, recognize the benefits of the Blended Learning method, and motivate them to explore new paths for their own training.
Therefore, the participants themselves identified in the workshop the advantages of classic in-person events and online courses:
Advantages of in-person events | Advantages of online courses |
Interaction between trainer and participant | Saved travel costs |
Variety in training | Location and time independence |
Direct contact with trainer & fellow participants | Consistent quality |
Direct adaptability to the learning level | Tests and assessments possible |
Teamwork & group dynamics | Fear-free space due to lack of group pressure |
The concept of Blended Learning builds on merging the advantages of both methods to ultimately create sustainable training. The lecture by blink.it, linking to the dynamic group work, particularly addressed the most important questions from trainers and clients: WHY use Blended Learning? And HOW do I properly set up such training?

Blended Learning - Runway instead of Barrier
Blended Learning is still a new method for many in continuing education and offers many possibilities for trainers and participants. Accordingly, there was a high demand for questions from approximately 40 listeners to blink.it. How they can link in-person and online content - many trainers feel uncertain at first. The same goes for creating and using their own videos.
Michael and Hans-Martin quickly dismantled the barriers: Various models for Blended Learning allow for finding the right integration for every training and every company. And nowadays, you can produce videos yourself quickly, cost-effectively, and without much effort, tailored to your own content.
Conclusion: Fresh wind for training
The feedback from the "Tips & Tools" participants about the blink.it workshop was overwhelmingly positive. This was true both for trainers for whom blink.it and Blended Learning are new territory, as well as for participants familiar with the concept. About 10% of the "Tips & Tools" participants are already blink.it customers! In 2019, blink.it will again be present with a new exciting lecture.
Until then, a general conclusion remains: The interest in Blended Learning is growing rapidly! The combination of in-person and online learning offers great benefits for trainers, participants, and companies. The trend is towards long-term sustainable and individually tailored training. The integration of personal and online training will likely be indispensable in the long run.
