At the beginning of December, blink.it founder Konstantin was at the TrainCamp in Bonn. His conclusion: It was not only very educational, but it was also a lot of fun! The event was organized by the editorial team of managerSeminare Verlags GmbH, which reported on it in the Training aktuell No.1/2018.
The TrainCamp premiered at the Bonn Uniclub at the end of last year. About 100 trainers, coaches, and those interested in further education gathered for a joint brainstorming session. The format: A Barcamp, where the basic rule “No spectators, only participants” applies. The entire process, from the topic to the implementation, is organized by the participants – together and spontaneously.
Smileys for good session ideas

Even at TrainCamp 2017, anyone could generally propose topics for sessions. After that, a vote on the best suggestions took place in the form of sticky smileys. Each TrainCamp participant could award six smileys.
The winners were allowed to conduct their sessions in the rooms with the best equipment. Konstantin initiated a session on the combination of face-to-face and digital learning. And he was successful:
E-learning expert Konstantin Ristl also received many smileys and thus his large room with a projector, reports Training aktuell No.1/2018 on the results of the voting.
This is how barcamps work:
✓ Everyone can propose topics for sessions
✓ Everyone can freely attend sessions that interest them – and also leave again
✓ Everyone can and should equally participate in the discussions in sessions

“It was great to see how many people are interested in blended learning,” said Konstantin after his successful session. “I didn't have to say much because there were so many good ideas. And the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly the entire time.”
If there is another TrainCamp in 2018, Konstantin or a colleague from the blink.it team will certainly be there again. Be a part of it and sign up as a participant in 2018!
