In conversation with Wolfgang Schneiderheinze part 1: Online support

The path to one's own online support is not clear to every trainer or coach at first glance. Konstantin Ristl (blink.it) and Wolfgang Schneiderheinze (menschenspiegel) spoke in an interview about the benefits and creation of online support. In this article series, I will present various aspects.

The central questions for this interview part are:

  • How does online support fit into one’s own seminar?

  • Why is it sensible to go beyond the face-to-face seminar with online content?

  • Why choose online support instead of a book or telephone coaching as an additional offer?

Here you can watch the conversation (Duration: 4 minutes):

Wolfgang Schneiderheinze offers, for example, videos with explanations of his training methods in his online support. Additionally, he coordinates telephone coaching through the online support. In these conversations, he clarifies with the participants how well the training exercises are being applied. The participants have the advantage that they can initially refresh the content independently of the trainer. Specific problems and challenges with the exercises can then be clarified by phone. With the blink.it application, these online contents can be easily created and distributed to the training participants.

Even in exchanges with other trainers, I repeatedly notice: many trainers are aware that online content is becoming increasingly important. Their clients, the companies, also demand measures to support practical transfer. Online support can achieve this goal. What one’s own online support can look like, this point is often not as clear to trainers as it is to Wolfgang Schneiderheinze. In the first step, there is no need for highly complicated methods or techniques to be used – as he also nicely describes. Three exercise instructions for specific training methods and a reflection question are completely sufficient for the first online support. These contents can be expanded step by step, with the goal of achieving a good integration between face-to-face time (training, seminars, or similar) and online content. The learners are explicitly supported in applying the learned content.
