Trend: Agile Learning in the Workplace - what is that?

Tip of the Week

Company

Agile Learning: Ever heard of it? Do you know what this trend is all about? We have been coming across the term more and more frequently lately. What Agile Learning means in companies and how you can implement it practically can be found in the article:

What is "Agile Learning"?

"Agile learning refers to the paradigm shift in personnel development, or how learning in a business context can become agile" – Haufe

Learning within a company should thus become agile. This means: Learning should be action- and competency-oriented, be supported by suitable media, and take place during the work process.

It is characterized by being networked, digital, individualized, and therefore self-responsible and self-organized.

Ideally, corporate learning is structured according to the 70-20-10 principle:

  • 10% = Learning through training and further education (education)

  • 20% = Learning through exchange with others (exposure)

  • 70% = Learning through experience in everyday work (experience)

The largest share, namely learning through experience in the workplace, provides the perfect basis for agile learning.
