Question 1: How long has blink.it been around?

In 2015, Konstantin and Michael founded our company blink.it in response to the question: “How can further education and training succeed in a digital world?” Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to this question and are now a team of 17! We can proudly say that we have securely established ourselves in the market of digital further education and are continuously growing.

Fun Fact: We already have over 215,000 global users, over 6 million completed “Blinks” (learning units), and our platform is available in more than 25 languages!

Question 2: What distinguishes blink.it from other LMS?

Compared to other traditional Learning Management Systems, blink.it stands for simplicity and user-friendliness. This primarily refers to the intuitive operation for all users: As a participant, you need just a few minutes to navigate the platform and get an overview. As an admin, you learn how to create your course and manage your participants within half an hour. So you can start creating content directly without extensive technical knowledge!

We care deeply that all the important functions are available that you need for your work as a trainer, coach, or consultant. We don’t see blink.it as a traditional LMS, as it maintains super simple operation while providing full functionality. Other LMS often have more features, but they are correspondingly much more expensive and often difficult to use. Most of these additional functions are used fully by very few trainers.

Moreover, most other LMS additionally require an authoring tool. You don’t need that with blink.it: You create your content directly on your platform. With blink.it, you get a fast all-in-one tool, instead of a complicated LMS.

Question 3: Can I buy ready-made learning content or courses from blink.it?

It is important to us that the learning content truly fits your target audience. Purchased standard content often does not meet that need. That’s why we provide you with the learning platform with a variety of functions for content creation. Additionally, we are also happy to support you with various learning materials and our Customer Success in content creation.

We do not sell ready-made learning content or online courses ourselves. If needed, we are happy to refer you to one of our partners. If you are interested in standard content (e.g., data protection training) or soft skill topics, feel free to contact our sales team.

Question 4: Can participants register without an email address?

In order to ensure the data security of your courses, all users of your blink.it course must register on our platform with their name and email address. This is the minimum data requirement with which we can guarantee optimal assignment of your participants. After all, not every course participant should be able to access all your content or edit it themselves. Additionally, this creates a low entry barrier: You as the admin can set everything up in advance and fill in the email addresses. Your course participants don’t have to do anything except click a link in the invitation email and then set a password.

To remind your course participants about editing, we also recommend sending regular reminder emails directly from the platform. With registration using their own email address, this becomes even easier. We offer various functions for this: For example, a newsletter or automatic notifications about new learning content. This way, you can always reach your participants effectively via email.

Question 5: What are chapters in the blink.it course and why do I need them?

Chapters in the blink.it course are larger units that help you better structure the individual content. You can think of chapters as small folders that you can open and close individually. This way, your course participants do not see all the content at once but only the selected chapter’s content. Especially in large and extensive online courses, chapters help your participants maintain an overview. Additionally, you can cover various topics within a single course this way.

Of course, you don’t have to create chapters if you don’t need that division. However, we always recommend using this simple structure for clearer courses.
